Guten Tag!!

This was a fun week! Christmas in the MTC is very different but such a cool experience and they took really good care of us!! We had a lot of really good food.  The language just continues to slowly make its way upwards and i am slowly becoming a little bit more functional!! I feel like i am finally starting to understand the word order and what not.  Learning a language this quickly will be hard no matter what but something that actually helped just now reading through all my emails was a quote from Elder Eyring that said something along the lines of "as long as you are on the right path it will be an uphill path." I probably just butchered that but you get the idea.  I really like it because it describes a mission perfectly. It would be so much easier just to go home and start school and move on with life, but it would not be in the direction I want to go. So in order to stay going the direction I want to I need to keep working hard on the uphill battle! hopefully all that makes sense!!:)
All the people that are here in the MTC this week
This guys name is Elder Charles and he is so awesome. He is one of our area 70s and has spoken to us twice and will come one more time before I leave! every time he speaks it is super powerful and it is so awesome. This Sunday I got called on to give a talk. the way they do sacrament is they tell everyone the weeks topic then everyone has to prepare a talk and then president just calls 5 people at the beginning of sacrament. haha but yeah I got called and it was on Obedience. Dont worry its because I have been so obedient not because i have been bad.... haha but it went really well!! First talk of my mission, Vertig!! alright im leaving now. I love you!! bye!! talk to you all soon!!
Elder Bell and I! We both swear we know each other from somewhere but can't figure it out!

Some of my all tume favorite people...but they are all serving in the England mission.

Now time for the questions!!

Have you heard anything about how your visa is coming?

Nope! I just havent even thought about it, im guessing they are going okay because we havent heard anything. haha I hope.

Do you have travel arrangements yet to go to the mission home? Will you fly?

I have not heard anything about it but i am sure we will be flying there.  I dont think we will know until like a couple days before we leave!

Can you list all the names of the people in your district for me so I can place them all?

There is Me, Elder Price (my companion), Elder Hudson and Elder Moffatt, and Elder Young and Elder Cornetta.

What was your favorite part of Christmas in the MTC?...besides talking to us haha

My favorite part of Christmas was probably the dinner! They made a full on Christmas feast for us and had like lined up all the tables in a big circle and gave us all our own bottle of Martenelis type stuff and gave us  a lot of like little poppers and balloons and stuff and we all just talked and had a lot of fun! Then we watched the Christmas Devotional and it was really really good! I loved it. I could swear I saw Lauren in the crowd there, but it might have just been my imagination!! haha

Can you share any neat experiences that happened to you this week?

Nothing super neat this week. But there was one quote from Elder Bednar I believe that said " If we knew who we were before this life, We would be sad we didnt try harder." so that has just kind of been my inspiration the last couple of days!!

What is your favorite part of each day?

hmmmm my favorite part of the days are just at any point in the day when you just have those moments that you get it!! haha I also strangely enough love singing hymns in German. Its fun!

Well There it is!  I also would like to encourage everybody to try to read the book of mormon daily and make sure that instead of just reading make sure to really study it. I would also really encourage starting a study journal as that has been something that has really helped me while being here.

I love you all!! I hope you all had a great Christmas and will have a very happy New Year!!

Liebe,

Elder Kade Hunter

HI Mom and family! I miss you all so much! to start, we are only able to call for christmas and I will have 30 minutes and I am calling at 3 my time! I am glad to hear that everyone is liking their Christmas gifts! Hopefully they think of me when they wear them! I am jealous of the snow! their is nothing but rain here. we have had two days of sunshine. haha but i still love it. just my luck that this season will be a good ski season!

What is your comps name?
Now to start on the questions, My comps name is Elder Price and he is from El Paso, Texas.

How many Elders there are going to your mission?
Our whole district is going to my mission so there are six of us right now then their will be a few native elders going to our mission that will show up I believe on the 7th.

P-days are pretty awesome we wake up, have breakfast, then go to the temple, then we have free time till lunch at 12. After that we go to ASDA which is pretty much just Europes Walmart. Then we have free time until 6. I usually just do my laundry and take an hour or so nap and then we go play rugby or volleyball! then after six its back to studying!

What do I enjoy the most and the least?
Hmm that one is hard because it is kind of the same answer for both which is learning German.... haha

How is the food?
It is Really really good!! But it is also pretty healthy! they keep things pretty balanced!  Today we had speghetti and meatballs for lunch!

Anything Funny?
Nothing toooooo bad yet but I was teaching a lesson with our investigator named Moritz and I said "Jesus Christus getot fur uns" trying to say that Christ died for us but i said that Christ murdered for us.... oops. haha

Do we speak mostly english or German?
It is hard because we are supposed to speak as much German as possible but everybody besides our group speaks english. So we just try to speak German when we are in our District.

But everything is going great and this last week seriously FLEW by! I hope everyone is doing well and that everyones has ein super weinachten!! I love you all!

Love,
Elder Hunter

Me and Elder Kapolnasi from Hungary!

Some of the chocolate in our room!
This is Elder Mulonga! He is seriously the best!

This week has flown by in some ways and in other ways it has felt like an eternity. I have been learning tons and tons of German and learning to apply it well to the Gospel and learning much more about the Gospel.  It is amazing to get to know everybody here and have so many young people all working towards one purpose.  We all get along very well.  But not without our differences.my companion could not be more opposite of me.
But life is going good here in the MTC. It is a pretty small group. right now there are only 14 of us here. more get here tomorrow.

But to answer your questions mom lets get started.
My schedule is very organized and every second accounted for.  haha we go non stop all day. which is good because i certainly sleep well at night.

My most touching experience so far has actually been today.  We went to the temple and one of the Elders (Elder Mulonga) from south africa had not taken out his endowment yet and I got to sit by him the whole time and be the one that got to help him out and direct him and it was so cool to see how touched he was by the spirit.  He balled through the whole session.  I love Elder Mulonga he is the nicest guy ever.  And also just being in the temple as a missionary you get such a cool feeling.  I really know god watches over us.

As for language study versus gospel study it is about 70 percent language 30 percent gospel. BUT all of the language really is gospel too and i feel the spirit a surprising amount during language study.

Seriously I have loved getting to know everybody here.  It is so fun just to hear everyones different stories and where they are from and why they are here.  My favorite few people are Elder Young, Elder Corneta, and Elder Mulonga.  Elder Young is From Texas and is 20, Elder Corneta is from Switzerland and is 24, and Elder Mulonga is from south africa and he is I believe 20. They are the people I could just talk to forever and make time fly by.

And yes Mom and Lauren, My legs are finally not sore from mine and Laurens run. But speaking of me and Elder Young run together on some days and play Rugby with everyone other days.

I know that missionary work is truly inspired and I can not wait to continue learning and be able to get out and teach in 5 weeks! I love you all so much!

I am here at the Preston mtc safe and sound! it was a very long day of travel but it was all very smooth and I actually had the chance to give a book of mormon within the first hour at the SLC airport to a man named Ricky. haha he looked like will smith from the pursuit of happiness and he smelled so strongly of weed but we talked for close to an hour and he was very excited to read it. he also had a pin on his shirt that said I love Jesus... haha but who knows maybe it will be a good thing! well I only had a few minutes and my P days are wednesdays! I am glad that you got nathan to settle down! well i am going to have my first interview with President Preston of the Preston MTC. hahah too many ironic things. But I love you all so much and miss you already.
By the way the MTC is beautiful and everyone is so nice! I love you and no pictures yet! sorrry.

Love Elder Hunter
